Many people ask, “What’s the difference between Grass-Fed and Grain-Fed beef”. Here we will highlight some of the key differences.

Let’s start out by showing you. A picture is worth a thousand words!

Grain-Finished: On the left is one of our grass-fed, grain-finished beef. As you can see, there is much more marbling in the Rib Steak and also more fat around the outside of the carcass. There is never any growth hormones or artificial additives added to their diet. This is PRIME-quality beef that cannot even be matched in your restaurants or stores. This animal will be approximately 14 months old. It maximizes its flavor through the additional fat deposited within the beef itself. With a full 14-day aging process, this is going to be a great-tasting, tender steak!

Grass-Finished: On the right is one of our grass-fed, grass-finished beef. As you can see, there is much less marbling and carcass fat. This animal will be closer to 24 months old. The rich flavor is added through a rich blend of forages they consume through our intensive-grazing Silvopastures. This meat is considered healthier for those who want to maximize their protein while reducing fats in their diet. While these cuts are typically a little smaller, they are packed full of flavor.
